Us+E is launching its first line of Organic and Fair Trade coffee, The unique variety of Arabica Tipica & Bourbon beans are growing at a high altitude ( 1200-1750 Masl) the process of washed and sundried, and the terroir qualities and region create a high-quality coffee with notes of milk chocolate, toasted almonds, pears, and red apple, with mild acidity and medium body.
These unique specs give the coffee a grade of 83.75 considered a specialty coffee.
Traceability
The smallholders that work in the municipality of Motozintla in the Soconusco region of the state of Chiapas, use traditional methods, in producing and processing their coffee. Following organic practices, each individual farm controls the production of coffee: from the planting of the seeds to the picking, wet-milling & drying of the beans.
About Motozintla
Motozintla - from Tzotzil language meaning ‘Squirrell's Hill’. Given Motozintla's location, the coffee shares many characteristics with cup profiles from Guatemala's Huehuetenango region. Ten indigenous languages are still spoken in Motozintla, primarily Mam. In 2020, the population in Motozintla was 76,398 inhabitants (49% men and 51% women). Compared to 2010, the population in Motozintla increased by 10.5%.
