Along the tropical eastern coast of Mexico in the Yucatán Peninsula, resides a rare, stingless bee population cultivated by the Maya civilization more than 3 millennium ago known as the Melipona beecheii.

This ancient Mayan medicine, harvested bi-annually from the Melipona bee species, is a special treasure to all who come across it and has proven to exhibit many medicinal properties. The elixir has distinctly rich flavor profile with slight acidicity and unique floral undertones-- depending on which plant the the specifc hive has pollinated.

Tsiltsiché Honey comes from the well-known Apis Melifera "honeybee" hives. This genus of bee produces a thick, flavorful & medicinal amber-colored elixir.

The flavor of this honey exhibits rich, floral notes as well as subtle hints of bee pollen to concoct an authentic profile from the Mayan jungle. Our Apis Melifera honey is strained, directly from the healthy honeybee hives, through a fine cheesecloth to ensure that no impurities are present in the bottle.

This raw honey can also be used as a rejuvenating mask or gentle exfoliant on the face or body!

Our specialty honey products are ethically sourced, hand-harvested and fairly traded with Mayan communities in The Yucatán Peninsula, along the eastern coast of Mexico.

A portion of your purchase will contribute to the cultivation of Melipona hives, the developing population of the genus, and the expanding preservation of their lush jungle habitat through purchasing more land and ebbing the rapid increase of deforestation on the surrounding sacred grounds.
